A Report For The Few About The Many

The interim report of the Institute of Public Policy Research on economic justice has just been published. Says the Guardian, it argues that:

“… the UK is being held back by a business culture dominated by decades of short-term profit-taking, weak levels of investment and low wages.”

Somewhere the report relates persistent inequality to the result of the Brexit vote, but the point is lost in the verbiage. 109 closely-packed pages with 299 (!) references suggest this is not a document for public consumption. Whose then? The many authors, perhaps. Let them reflect on this before they produce their full report towards the end of the year.
